Its like a little mini game on your account. A lot of people like it, a lot of people hate it. Either way, it helps gain hits, and those who are vehemently against it simply don't gain as much day-to-day traffic as those who play it. I think though its pretty silly, its a great way to meet a lot of new people in the DA community. ^^ I've found about 5 new people worth devwatching, and I've had about 10 devwatches myself given. Its fun that way too, even if its pointless, lol xp Basically, every user can only give one user one llama badge once. (ie; you can only give me one, once. But you're unlimited in how many you can give to people. : D)
If you go to my user page, you see the button marked Give? It's below the llama icon. You click it, and then you click on the Give Llama Badge option which pops up on the menu. A window pops up, and you put your password into the space provided to authorize that you're giving the person a llama. Then you click okay or whatever, and off it goes. :3 Its pretty simple. ^^
